STA solicits opinions on improvement of tax services
China’s State Taxation Administration (STA) has conducted a survey to solicit opinions from taxpayers and fee payers across the country to improve tax services.
Lasting from Feb.2 to 12, the survey is the STA’s lead-up to its activity marking the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, and its Spring Breeze Project to facilitate taxpayers for the 8th consecutive year.
The survey asks companies’ legal persons or persons in charge, financial staff, tax staff, and staff of specialized tax-related service providers how do they feel about tax authorities’ implementation of preferential policies, optimization of law enforcement, and improvement of tax and fee services, according to Han Guorong, deputy chief of the STA’s Taxpayer Service Department.
Taxpayers and fee payers can fill out a questionnaire via contactless channels including tax authorities’ websites and official WeChat accounts, and the online tax system.
Local tax authorities also solicit opinions through face-to-face discussions or telephone calls, depending on the COVID-19 epidemic situation.
The survey’s results will serve as an important basis for tax authorities to optimize law enforcement methods and improve service quality and efficiency.
