Work visa application

Foreigners who come to work in China shall apply for work visa. Work visa are divided into the following three categories, applying for work permit first, and then residence permit.
 
一、 Foreign high-end talents (Class A)
 
(1) Those who have been selected into the domestic talent introduction plan and have been approved or filed by the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Ministry of human resources and social security and the State Administration of foreign experts, who have been recognized as candidates of the talent introduction plan by the talent competent department at or above the Deputy provincial level.
 
(2) 10. Having met the internationally recognized standards for professional achievement recognition. Having held senior management positions and key members of technology R & D in the headquarters of Fortune 500 enterprises, management positions above the deputy general manager of secondary companies or regional headquarters, and technology R & D
 
Person in charge( (subject to the "world's top 500 companies" selected by Fortune magazine previous year)
 
(3) Foreign talents who meet the needs of market-oriented encouraged jobs 1. Personnel with senior management or technical positions employed by central enterprises and secondary subsidiaries, global or regional headquarters of world top 500 enterprises, national high-tech enterprises (recognized by science and technology departments above the provincial level) and large enterprises.
 
2. Personnel with senior management or technical positions working in national recognized Enterprise Engineering Research Center (recognized by the development and reform department), Engineering Laboratory (recognized by the development and reform department), engineering technology research center (recognized by the science and Technology Department), enterprise technology center (recognized by the information technology department) and local technological innovation service platform (recognized by the science and Technology Department).
 
3. Personnel with senior management or technical positions employed by domestic and foreign medium-sized enterprises or chairman, legal representative, general manager or chief technical expert employed by small foreign-invested enterprises that meet the encouraged industries in the catalogue for the guidance of foreign investment industries and the catalogue of advantageous industries for foreign investment in central and western regions.
 
4. Personnel employed as senior management positions or associate professors, associate researchers, senior lecturers, senior internship instructors and other professional and technical positions at or above the deputy senior level employed by colleges and universities and scientific research institutions.
 
8. Main athletes, head coaches or core members of the coaching team employed by national and provincial sports teams or clubs.
 
9. Foreign talents whose average wage income is not less than 6 times of the average social wage income of the region in the previous year.
 
(5) Outstanding young talents
 
Young talents under the age of 40 engaged in postdoctoral research in high-level universities abroad or colleges and universities in China.
 
 
二、 Foreign professionals (class B)
 
(1) Foreign professionals with bachelor's degree or above and 2 years or above relevant working experience. If one of the following provisions is met:
 
1. Managers or professional technicians engaged in scientific research, teaching and management in special fields such as education, scientific research, press, publishing, culture, art, health and sports( Non language teachers in the education industry choose this type, and the subjects taught must be consistent with their majors and the work qualification certificates provided must be consistent)
 
4. Employees at or above the middle level dispatched by multinational corporations, chief representatives and representatives of permanent representative offices of foreign enterprises in China.
 
5. Foreign managers or professional technicians employed by various enterprises, institutions and social organizations.
 
(3) Foreign language teaching staff
 
In principle, foreign language teaching personnel should be engaged in mother tongue teaching in their mother tongue country (for countries and regions whose mother tongue is English, see Annex 2 on page 4 of this volume), obtain a bachelor's degree or above, and have more than 2 years of language education experience. Among them, those who have obtained bachelor's degree or above in education, language or normal education, or have obtained the teacher qualification certificate of the host country or qualified international language teaching certificate can be exempted from the work experience requirement.
 
Native English speaking countries and regions:
 
Ascension, Australia, Bermuda, British Antarctic Territory, British Indian Ocean Territory, Canada, Falkland Islands (i.e. Malvinas), Gibraltar, Guernsey, Guyana (formerly British Guyana), Ireland, Isle of man (British Irish maritime territory), Jersey, New Zealand, Pitcairn islands, Singapore, South Africa British territory of Cyprus, South Georgia and South Sandwich Islands, St. Helena, Tristan da Cunha Islands, United Kingdom, United States, American Virgin Islands, Antigua and Barbuda, Angela, Bahamas, Barbados, British Virgin Islands, British Cayman Islands, Dominica, Grenada Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Jamaica, Montserrat, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent, Trinidad and Tobago, and the Turks and Caicos Islands.
 
(4) Foreign talents whose average wage income is not less than 4 times of the average social wage income of the region in the previous year
 
(6) Professionals with points above 60.
 
 
三、 Foreign professionals (Class C)
Class C work permit has not been issued any more
